Case Studies
Residential, Knightsbridge
D.W. Floor Services were selected to undertake the renovation of the floor and wall coverings in a prestigious Grade II listed building in Knightsbridge. We installed prime grade herringbone engineered wood planks featuring a single plank perimeter border with seamless transitions throughout the apartment.
For the wall coverings we coordinated with our own trusted trade partners to construct custom decorative wall mouldings and fit the ceiling panels throughout the reception rooms bringing to life the client’s brief from architectural drawings.
Shoryu Resturant, Kensington
Shoryu Kensington is the latest addition to the ramen restaurant chain, and D.W. Floor Services was commissioned to install herringbone bamboo planks throughout the restaurant. Understanding the time constraints of this project, we crafted a working schedule that not only met the one week deadline, but also aligned with the broader fit-out schedule.
Without causing disruption to the other contractors on site, extensive subfloor preparation was undertaken to produce an even surface on which the new finished floor could be installed. The bamboo planks were then expertly installed in an intricate herringbone pattern throughout the restaurant and service corridors.
Greencore Canteen, Worksop
D.W. Floor Services was appointed to supply and install the complete flooring package as part of a canteen refurbishment for Greencore, one of the UK's leading food-to-go manufacturers. The project called for Polyflor safety vinyl in two distinct designs: a herringbone pattern for the seating areas and a grey slate design for the kitchen servery and vending machine zones.
Working alongside other trades as part of the wider fit-out, the project was completed within programme and to a high standard - delivering a modern, design-led result that met the practical requirements of a leading UK food manufacturer's facility.
Williams Place Development, Wimbledon
Williams Place is a new build development converting an old police station into 13 luxury residential units. D.W. Floor Services was instructed to supply and install the carpets in all units in addition to the carpet and entrance matting for all communal areas.
Despite tight scheduling constraints, D.W. Floor Services continued to provide high-quality finishes throughout thanks in part to the flexible work patterns we were able to offer. This also enabled us to work collaboratively around other tradesmen and meet the Project Manager’s timelines.
An unforeseen event threatened to delay the project however, we were able to act swiftly and source an alternative flooring solution that matched the design brief and interior design.

Residential, Stanmore
600mm x 120mm large engineered herringbone planks were chosen to complement the open spaces in this residential property. Finished with a single plank border emphasised by custom wenge feature strips, the finished look was both unique yet classic.
In order to protect the longevity of the floor, moisture testing was performed on the subfloor which determined a liquid damp proof membrane (DPM) was the most suitable for this project. The floor was finished with hardwax oil to align with the client’s preferences.
Residential, Dalston
D.W. Floor Services was chosen to supply and install this beautiful medium smoked engineered wood floor through the ground and first floors of this property renovation in Dalston, London. The stairs were also cladded with white MDF risers and new oak treads, stained and sealed to match the flooring.
The client chose our prefinished 14/3 x 150 x 1200 planks with a UV oil surface finish for superior protection. Smoked wood floors create a warm tone, hide wear tear well, can be sanded down to restore their original look making them very adaptable to different styles and interiors.
